VBR’s Latest & Greatest Finds
All right, I’m gonna just jump right into this. Enjoy and lemme know what you think. 🙂 Vegan goodies I be diggin’:
Little Miss Fuzzy Head Happy Hair Fusion ($22): Calling all fuzzy heads! Yeah, how could anyone not ♥ a product with such a cutsey, ah-DORABLE name? This all-natural moisturizing creme is great for defining curlies, but if you’re like me and just have dry, damaged (non-curly) hair, this works wonders too, as a leave-in conditioner. It’s packed full of vitamins and moisturizing shea butter, jojoba and coconut oil.
Youth H2O ($34.99 per case—each case is a month’s supply): If you’re looking for a healthy energy boost sans the gak attack (aka caffeine), this stuff is wunderbar! The peeps at Youth H2O boast this as an anti-aging tonic. It contains concentrated extracts of antioxidant-rich organic super foods like maca, camu camu, and purple corn (!) that increase energy, fight the signs of aging, and boost your immune system. The taste is INTENSE, ain’t gonna lie—it’s a bit funky (kind of pungent, floral, and perfume-y)—but the results are SO worth it! Refrigerate it before drinking it and follow with a chaser (maybe grape juice?), because it’s… an acquired taste, fo’ shiz. 😉 You can order Youth H2O through Navarro.com (where it’s a featured deal of the week).
Intrinsic Organics Almond and Oatmeal Vegan Sugar Scrub ($15): I’m a sugar scrub fanatic! I mostly use scrubs exclusively on my hands as a before bedtime treat. This one is super gentle, but it does an excellent job at hydrating and exfoliating my skin. It contains organic, fair trade sugar, raw shea butter and organic olive oil. These soothing oils combined with sweet, gentle sugar nourish to leave skin hydrated and renewed, and the essential oils provide a delicate aromatherapy experience.
Beija Flor Naturals Juicy Summer Fruit Oils ($12): This ultra hydrating and sweet-smelling oil blend (apricot kernel, cherry kernel and peach kernel) is not just for summer, folks. It smells hella delish and it’s super versatile—can be used as a scalp oil treatment, facial moisturizer, leave-in conditioner, bath oil, or massage oil (my babe is most definitely a fan). Btw, this oil is not pink, just the bottle.
