The Most Awesome DIY Face Peel Ever
Are you ready to rock a kick-ass DIY face peel that’s super easy and affordable to make, sans all the nasty chemicals and preservatives that are often found in conventional store-bought brands? I thought so! 😉 This recipe calls for tropical fruits papaya and pineapple, which are naturally high in fruit acids called alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs)–a popular ingredient found in a ton of fancy anti-aging skincare products. AHAs rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged surface skin cells. Papaya and pineapple are also loaded with vitamin C, which promotes the production of collagen in our skin. Win-win! 🙂
DIY AHA Face Peel
- 4 tbsp fresh papaya
- 4 chunks fresh pineapple
- 2 tsp jojoba oil
Mix everything well in a blender or by hand. Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off and then follow with your favorite vegan and cruelty-free toner and moisturizer.
