October Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review
Woohoohoo! It’s time to check out the goodies in this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box! If this is the first time you’re hearing about this rad subscription service, it’s a monthly beauty box ($19.95/month with free shipping) that delivers 4-7 vegan and cruelty-free items (ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare) right to your doorstep. It’s the easiest way to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. Sounds bomb, right? That’s because it IS! You can sign up for this beauty box here. You can also peep my past Vegan Cuts Beauty Box reviews here.
October’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, which was co-curated by MuchMusic VJ Phoebe Dykstra, included:
- Floss Gloss Nail Lacquer in Picnic – This is described as “Summer’s Picnic Table Cloth.” Ha, love it! It actually has more of a fall-sy feel as it’s a weathered cranberry creme. Props for it being 3-free (sans Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde & Formaldehyde Resin) and made in the USA. Will rock this for an upcoming Mani Monday fo’ sho.
- Lovinah Coffee Bean-illa Detox Body Scrub* – Why is everyone seducing me with their coffee and vanilla skincare goodies lately? I’LL TAKE IT ALL! This Coffee Bean-illa Body Scrub smells redonk… I wanna lick it, eat it, drink it, AND smear it on my body. I just wish this sample were bigger so I could do all that ish. 😉
- Hylunia Deluxe Travel Set (Facial Cleansing Gel, Healing & Restoring Cream, Facial Day Lotion, and Night Treatment) – I just tried these out on my hands to get a feel for this line. The cleansing gel and day lotion are quite lovely, however the restoring cream and night treatment seem a bit light… This by no means is a fair assessment of these products, just a first impression. I like my night creams and treatments to be thick and hearty. Anyhoo, I appreciate that this is an all-natural, non-toxic, vegan skincare line that uses high quality, effective ingredients. Will try to provide a more in depth review as I get to know these items a little better.
- Lotus Wei Pure Energy Serum* – The concept of these mood booting serums has mega Sunny appeal. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna experience a surge of energy via sniffing yummy and pretty essential oils? This serum (which you can use on your face and body) is designed to increase energy, vitality, strength, and have a gentle cleansing effect against environmental toxins. It’s also supposed to help you recharge after air travel and computer & cell phone use (dousing myself in this serum as I type). AMEN! It has a really pleasing and uplifting grapefruit-y scent, which I love. I will be rocking every simple last drop of this serum.
