‘Beauty by Nature’ Book Review
When I first glanced at Beauty by Nature, I just assumed it was going to be another all-natural DIY beauty book. It is, to an extent, but it’s also a wonderful guide to better living, and it’s truly inspirational! I say this knowing I need to get my act together. I wanna finally lose my baby weight, improve my posture, eat better, exercise, etc. STAT!
The book focuses on outer and inner beauty. The author, herbalist and natural medicine expert Brigitte Mars, is well versed in aromatherapy, DIY beauty, yoga, nutrition, and general wellness (for women, men, elders, and wee ones). The book is easy to get through and it reads like a friend giving welcome advice.
Since reading this book, I have been breathing more deeply, making even more beauty products from scratch, experimenting with unique herbs and oils, rockin’ some basic yoga moves, and doing eyeball exercises. Eyeball exercises.
This book is extremely thorough, informative, and inspiring. I wouldn’t mind some color photos of some of the products or beauty recipes, but the content is fantastic. I’ve read a ton of DIY beauty books, but this one stands out because it’s also chock full of tips and tricks to improve daily well-being (e.g. how to pick the most flattering eyeglasses, how to energize your food, how to properly do kegals… I’m telling you, this book covers evvverything).
