August 2015 BuddhiBox Review
Guess what time it is! It’s time to dish on all the sweet goodies from August’s BuddhiBox! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month. This month a portion of sales goes to support Go Light Our World. GLOW distributes solar solutions to impoverished communities around the world, which are otherwise relying on kerosene-fueled lanterns.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. You can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a inspirational quote by Jason Mraz on the back, a recipe for Iced Coconut Marley Coffee (yummers!), and an instructional card for Lotus pose (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!
August’s BuddhiBox included:
Jesse & Co. Lotus Necklace* – Omg, C-U-T-E!!! I’m all about dainty, feminine necklaces, and this one is ON FLEEK. Eeps, that’s my first time ever saying that (I feel old). 😉 Receiving jewelry in monthly sub boxes is my absolute favorite! 😀
Marley Coffee “One Love” 100% Ethiopia Tirgacheffe* – I haven’t tried this yet, but I love the packaging, LOVE that it’s Marley branded, love that it’s organic, and I loooooove that BuddhiBox included a recipe for Iced Coconut Marley Coffee – it sounds like such a delicious coconutty treat, especially in this crazy heat! Stir it up, babeh!
Satwa Premium Sandalwood Incense – I love incense, and I really like the smell of sandalwood – it’s earthy, sexy, and soothing. I pretty much exclusively use Nag Champa around my house, but this stuff is quite nice, too.
Wellsmith Almond Scent Shea Butter – I like it when subby boxes support etsy shops. It gives me warm fuzzies. This moisturizer smells super yummy, and it’s in the perfect size tin to store in my purse – I never leave the house without lotion, salve, balms, etc. Evah.
“Get Your Buddhi on the Mat” Magnet by My Mat My Mantra – How cute is this?! Buddhi bootie humor #FTMFW! 😉 I’m going to put this on my office filing cabinet to remind myself to get my yoga on more often.
Chopra Center – Meditation Downloads – I’m not a huge Chopra fan (no judgies, please), but I’m sure for those of you who are, this is a nice lil’ bonus to help you get your meditation on.
This month’s BB is valued at $46 (!), which is a lotta bang for the buck! I definitely recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself!
