Justin’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups – Perfect for Halloween!
Yesterday, the VBR famdamily went to a Halloweeny shindig at Portland’s Children Museum. It was hella fun – music, bubbles, toys, cute costumes, and CANDY!!! As any you can imagine, when we brought the loot home, mama bear (that’s me) sifted through all the Halloween candy and swapped out all the non-vegan ones with vegan alternatives (i.e. dairy-free, gelatin-free, carmine-free, and shellac-free, etc.).
One of our fave swaps is Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups. They’re organic, fair trade, and absolutely delish! I was teensy bit nervous that Dylan wasn’t going be feelin’ the dark chocolate since it’s not as blatantly sweet and the nut milk chocolate that he’s used to, but it was a hit (as you can see from the pics). 😉
Ingredients: Organic Dark Chocolate (Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Chocolate Liquor*, Organic Cocoa Butter*, Organic Soy Lecithin, Organic Vanilla), Organic Peanuts, Organic Powdered Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Peanut Flour, Organic Palm Fruit Oil**, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Vanilla Flavor, Sea Salt, Organic Soy Lecithin.
*Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa
**Sustainably sourced palm fruit oil
Do you guys love Justin’s peanut butter cups, too? What’s your favorite vegan Halloween candy?
