October 2015 BuddhiBox Review
EeeEee, I’m SO excited to dish on all the sweet goodies from October’s BuddhiBox! This month’s box is one of my all-time faves! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month. This month a portion of sales goes to support the Circuelle Foundation. Their mission is to embrace healthy rituals in order to create a positive view of breast health and overall body image and to reach young women through school-centered education programs to help teach high school and college students about the importance of breast self-exams. You can read more about their story here.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a inspirational quote by Rumi on the back, a recipe for Benihana’s Fried Rice with Tofu, and an instructional card for Heart Chakra Pose (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!
October’s BuddhiBox included:
Intention Candle by In Light + Love Candles – Y’all, this is hands-down the coolest candle I’ve ever seen. It’s not just a candle, it’s a message to the universe! It comes with a teensy piece of chalk (not pictured) which you’re supposed to use to write your intention on the candle before you light it. Loooooove this so incredibly much! Now let’s talk about the insanely yummy scent – it’s a blend of vanilla, coconut, magnolia blossom and lavender, and it smells REDONK. It’s made with all-natural soy wax and essential oils (no funky ingredients or artificial fragrance). I also have to mention the gorgeous packaging – it’s a stunner! I wanna show it off, sniff it like crazy, and use it to inspire the universe to help a girlfriend out (Imma rock my intentions in writing like it’s going out of style).
Chakra Healing Bag by Energy Muse – I’ve been seriously reading up and learning more about chakras and healing gemstones lately. I was beyond mega stoked to see these beautiful chakra stones in this month’s BB. The set includes: smoky quartz, carnelian, citrine, aventurine, sodalite, amethyst, and quartz crystal. These crystals are intended to help align your body with the earth with their vibrations and color… and they’re purrty!
Thieves Blend by Optimal Health Oil – Interesting tidbit, this legendary essential oil was named for its ability to give thieves who robbed the dead immunity from the Black Plague. It’s a blend of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary, and lemon and it’s supposed to kill 99.96% of airborne bacteria. You can dab it on the bottom of your feet or diffuse it in your home. Cold season is right around the corner, so I’m def gonna keep this handy.
Sweat Wicking Headband by Jiva Clothing – This funky patterned headband is a great workout sweat sopper upper! It’s also mega comfortable to wear and light. I also like using this headband to keep my hairsies off my mug when I’m rockin’ a DIY facial mask.
Towel Set (2) with Eco Sack by People Towels – Diggity dang, this month’s box is AMAZE. Literally every single item made me drop some “oohs” and “aaahhhs.” Paper towels suck. Big time. They’re so wasteful and expensive in the long run. These sustainable, reusable, super absorbant, and crazy cute towels are where it’s at. They’re machine washable, 100% organic, eco-friendly, and they’ll last you for years. Huzzah!
Bonus: Breast Ritual Creme sample by Circuelle Foundation: BB is donating a portion of this month’s proceeds to Circuelle Foundation. This Breast Ritual Creme is designed for your beloved tatas. It’s made with organic green tea, vitamins, and evening primrose oil. I haven’t tried this sample out yet, but it smells quite lovely.
This month’s BB is valued at ~$60 (!), which is a lotta bang for the buck! I definitely recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself!
