October 2015 MyKindBox Review
I’m sorry #notsorry that all of my posts have been about vegan subscription boxes lately but diggity DANG!! Sh*t be crazy (crazy-GOOD)! Yes, there is yet ANOTHER vegan beauty box y’all and it’s called MyKindBox ($29/month with free shipping) and it hails from San Francisco! It’s a vegan and cruelty-free monthly subscription beauty box that contains 5-7 beauty products including a mix of full size and deluxe samples of makeup and skincare. Not sure if they only feature non-toxic beauty brands, but this month’s products are very clean – me likey. ♥
October’s MyKindBox included:
Mint Green Spa‘s 100% Argan Oil – This company hasn’t officially launched their line of beauty products yet (launch is slated for mid-November), so I guess this is a sneak peek of awesomeness to come. This argan oil is valued at $22, which is a spensy product for a monthly beauty box. Argan oil is one of my favorite anti-aging oils, and it’s super versatile. You can use it on your hair, face, and nails. It’s a great lil’ addition to DIY beauty products, too!
Mint Green Spa’s Lemon Coconut Foot Soak – I love lemon scented anything, and this is the perfect excuse to give my tootsie wootsies some TLC. Seriously, my feet haven’t had any soaky action since… I can’t even remember!
Pacifica Nail Polish in Afterglow – In a world of ever-growing 3 & 5-free nail polishes, this 7-free polish definitely stands out. This seems like a nice summery shade, but I’mma rock it for fall, too. 😉 How pretty is Pacifica’s packaging!?
Verde Natural Beauty Spearmint Eucalyptus and Coconut Hand Scrub – The super fine texture of this hand scrub is heaven! As a big time mint aficionado, I kind of wish this scrub was a lil’ less coconutty, but I’ll survive. 😉 Hand scrubs really are one of my favorite beauty products evah! In fact, I use body scrubs, foot scrubs, face scrubs, etc… on mah hands! It’s such a simple way to relax and hit up all the your pressure points in your hands, which relieves tension throughout your entire body.
Sapling and Sprout Almond Lip Balm – Mmmm, this lip balm basically smells like marzipan, and I wanna eat it! The texture is quite nice (smooth, creamy, moisturizing), and I’m excited to add it to my other 4,265 vegan lips balms! Life is good. 🙂
Overall impression – LOVED how all of the items were all-natural and non-toxic. I’ve been really trying to shift all of my skincare items in this direction, and these types of products make heart smile. This box has incredible value – $60 worth of goodies for $29! I was also excited to discover some new and new-to-me brands. Pacifica was the only brand I was familiar with, so I feel like I met some new friends. 😉
