October’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included 6 vegan items (3 full-size!):
Jersey Shore Cosmetics Gold Leaf Highlighter* (full size, $15 value) – I have a soft spot for JSC. I’ve been using their kid-safe sunscreen, hand sanitizers, skincare, and makeup for years now (their vegan lip & cheek rouge is one of my fave all-natural red lippies evah!). Anyhoo, it’s no surprise that this
Radiant Gold Leaf Highlighter is equally dope. It’s formulated with moisturizing shea butter, vitamin E and argan oils, minerals, essential oils and real gold leaf. I’m feelin’ mad flossy rocking GOLD all over mah face! This all-natural shimmery highlighter can be worn on your lips, cheek bones, shoulders, or décolletage for a sun-kissed glow. I swatched it on my finger in the pic below – it’s subtle but definitely eye-catching.
Luxie Beauty angled makeup brush* (full size, $12 value) – I always get excited for new makeup brushes, especially when they pop up in beauty boxes. This one is perfect for applying and blending eye shadow (love that it’s angled), it’s pink, suuuuper soft and vegan & cruelty-free. Their website says it’s been coated with an antibacterial solution… not sure how necessary that is but here’s hoping they used an all-natural(ish) solution (couldn’t find any ingredients or more info online).
Aricole Hair Mask ($13 value) – My mind is blown that this hair mask is made using 100% natural organic essential oils – it smells REDONK – like a slice of tropical heaven. This mixture hydrates, strengthens, softens, and fights frizz. I’d assume you could even dab a little on split ends as like a leave-in conditioner. Just a heads up, this formula tends to harden/clump due to temperature change but they recommend placing it in a bowl of hot water to liquify it.
Le Beurre Shop Vanilla Shea Butter Body Cream* (deluxe sample, $7.50 value) – This stuff has the consistency of cupcake frosting, oh, and it smells like friggin’ frosting, too! I wanna eat it SO badly, but I guess I’ll settle for delicious feeling hands instead. 😉 It’s good sh*t.
October Fields Original Lip Balm (full size, $3.50) – I usually opt for scented lip balms, but unscented ones are nice because they’re unisexy and easy to share with my mister. This organic blend is made with sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, pumpkin seed oil, cocoa butter, and candelilla wax. It’s super pure and all-natural – zero fillers, preservatives, or artificial fragrances & flavors.
True Moringa Peppermint Body Oil* ($2 value) – I’m obsessed with all things peppermint – I think I have a tingle addiction! 😉 Couple that with quick-absorbing & anti-aging moringa oil, which is rich in oleic, behenic, and linoleic acids (← they increase the permeability of skin and prevent dryness and cracking), and I’m totally sold. Love the glass packaging, too. I will definitely purchase a full size of this yummy stuff down the line.
*faves from this month’s box
Overall impression: Six items is a lot for any beauty box – and it was a lovely mix of skin care, hair care, body care, and makeup! Box faves: highlighter, makeup brush, body oil, and body butter… needless to say, everything was pretty rad – and everything together is valued over $50!
