Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box Review – November 2015
Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! November’s PV beauty box is pretty frickin’ fantastic. If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands (I don’t know of any other beauty boxes with such high standards – LOVE!). You can peep all my previous PV box reviews here. This goodie box is only $15 a month (HELLA good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at $47!) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada). Pretty sweet, right?
November’s Petit Vour Beauty Box included the following non-toxic, squeaky clean, cruelty-free goodies:
Organic Bath Co Stress Less Body Oil ($2.25 value) – This item had me sold at STRESS LESS. Um, yassssssss. I have so many deadlines and projects due this month, I definitely need HALP. This lightweight body oil smells suuuper relaxing. It’s made with pure Bulgarian lavender and a blend of green tea-infused camellia seed, grapeseed, evening primrose, macademia nut, almond, and jojoba oils. It absorbs easily into the skin and doesn’t leave any oily residue, which is kind of a must for me… nothing grodier than slippin’ into your jammie-jams when your bod’s coated in slippery slickness. This stuff rules.
Pelle Beauty Luxe Beauty Balm ($9 value) – This super emollient, waterless beauty balm is packed with floral waxes (tuberose, rose & jasmine), essential oils, and antioxidant-rich ingredients to smooth and protect skin (think winter essential!). I’ve been using this as an under-eye treatment, and I actually prefer it to most dedicated “eye creams.” I will definitely be ordering more when this sample runs out. It smells so beautiful, too, like a bouquet of the prettiest flowers.
One Love Organics Healthy Locks Dry Shampoo Powder ($12 value) – I previously received a sample of this from the August 2015 Vegan Cuts Beauty Box. To keep my pink locks their pinkiest, I often skip washing my hair a few times a week (no judgies!). Needless to say, I heavily rely on dry shampoo to sop up excess oil and make mah hurrr look somewhat flowy and fresh. This dry shampoo has a unique blend of Georgia Kaolin Clay, hyularonic acid, and bamboo extract, with a really clean scent. I adore their packaging, too. I usually make my own DIY dry shampoo, but I love getting samples like these in the mail because they save me time, and they often have way fancier ingredients than mine do.
Modern Minerals Lotus Wei Infused Emotive Lip Gloss in Violet Rose (full size, $24 value) – This is described as a violet mauve with pink and lavender shimmer, and to me, it has holiday season written all over it. This isn’t your ordinary lip gloss, peeps… it’s the result of a modern alchemic collaboration with Lotus Wei and “it incorporates the emotive properties of gemstone and flower essences to uplift and awaken positivity.” Duuuuuuuuuude, I’m totally vibing on this other level ish. Pink camellia flowers and pink tourmaline (whaaaaa?) are combined with lavender, chamomile, rose and neroli to help magnify love of life, strength, compassion, and living in the moment. My inner hippie is rejoicing. That aside, the formula is made with marine collagen, natural oils and butters, and leaves a beautiful, shiny, non-tacky finish. Oh, and as you probably would have guessed, it smells GORGEOUS.
Overall impression: This month’s box has a LOT of value – $47 worth of green beauty goodies for only $15. I can see myself purchasing every single item again in the future, which is kind of rare to say when it comes to subscription boxes; everything can’t always be a hit. This box is definitely an exception.
If you like what you see, you should consider hooking yourself up with a Petit Vour subscription! Also, you can buy products you love directly from PV’s online store. Customers (even non-subscribers) receive 20% back in PV Points with every shop purchase. It’s like a constant 20% discount and when you combine that with the free shipping on all orders $50+… it’s an insane deal. xx
