Kaeng Raeng Cleansing Clay Detoxifying Charcoal Face Mask Review
Activated charcoal has been a trending IT ingredient as of late, and I get why… seriously, it’s in my toothpaste, teeth whitening powder, deodorant, homemade mascara, and of course this sweet lil’ Kaeng Raeng face mask imma bout to dish on.
First thing’s first, wtf is activated charcoal? It’s a form of carbon that can attract and hold 200 times its weight – it basically sucks out ALL the toxins from yo’ bod like nobody’s business.
I actually reviewed this Kaeng Raeng Cleansing Clay Detoxifying Charcoal Face Mask at the beginning of the year, but they have since changed their formula, so I I thought I’d give this one a whirl and see what the difference is. After having used this new formula for months now, I honestly can’t say that I notice a difference per se, other than this one doesn’t crystallize around the lid when it’s not being used… which is kind of neither here nor there.
Anywho, I’m diggin’ this unique mineral-rich, gorgeous smelling (honeysuckle, vanilla, gardenia, rosemary… mmmhm!) mask which uses two highly absorbent, oil-sopping clays (bentonite & French green) and of course rockstar ingredient activated charcoal. It really does leave my skin feeling firmer and refreshed – I’ve noticed pore shrinkage, too.
It’s. The. Sh*t.
Heads up though, it can be very messy. I like to wear dark colors anytime I decide to dabble in AC… I know it’s still all up in my grill and imbedded in the fibers of mah wares, but out of sight, out of mind, betches! 😉
What I especially love about this detox mask is that it’s completely all-natural with a large percentage of organic ingredients. Yasssssss…
Ingredients: Aloe Vera Gel, Organic Witch Hazel Extract, Himalayan Pink Salt, Bentonite Clay, French Green Clay, Organic Vegetable Glycerine, Activated Charcoal, Organic Kelp Powder, Honeysuckle Absolute Essential Oil, Green Tea Extract, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Organic Calendula Herbal Oil, Organic Rosemary Antioxidant, Benzoin Resin, Water.
Have you guys tried this mask or other activated charcoal products? Which ones? Tell me all about it!
