The Wonder Seed’s Water Lotus Collection Review
One of my favorite vegan, cruelty-free & non-toxic beauty brands is The Wonder Seed. All of their products are highly effective using super pure ingredients (no parabens, sulfates, gluten, artificial colors or fragrances), with a special focus on virgin hemp seed oil. Oh, and they’re affordable, too! ← Icing on the cake!
They recently rolled out with a couple of Water Lotus essential oil fragranced goodies, and I’m super stoked I got to try them out – they smell INSANE (zero artificial fragrance)!
The Wonder Seed Water Lotus Hemp Facial Cream, $16.95 – I’m really picky about face creams, especially when it comes to consistency – I like ’em to be thickish, non-greasy (cooperates better with makeup application and I already slather oils on my face every night), and easy to absorb into my skin. This one fits the bill and also contains healing and anti-aging ingredients, key vitamins, and essential fatty acids. The Wonder Seed’s website says that the Water Lotus scent is very fresh and almost unscented, but I beg to differ. It’s actually really present and lingers on the skin for a little while which I love because I haven’t been wearing perfume lately (been workin’ from home in mah jimmy jams!). It smells like something you’d find at Bath & Body Works – big difference is that this product is all-natural and scented with essential oils vs. toxic “parfum” and fragrances.
The Wonder Seed Water Lotus Hemp Hand Cream, $12.95 – This hand cream has a very similar consistency to the face cream. It also has a non-greasy formula that quickly absorbs into the skin. In addition to their rockstar ingredient, hemp seed oil, they’ve added grape seed oil, both of which kick ass at protecting the skin from environmental damage.
Highlights: Looooove hemp seed oil. It’s moisture-rich, anti-aging, and it helps fight acne. The scent has me like, WHOA. Its smell gorgeous and it lingers – you can skip wearing perfume. The formulas are super clean and EcoCert Certified Organic, with lots of beneficial properties. I also like their new packaging – it’s cute and sleek. Gotta love how affordable these products are. I hope they eventually make their way into drugstores and chain stores like Target and Walmart – they need to be experienced by the masses.
Gripes: None!
Have you tried The Wonder Seed? Which cruelty-free face and hand creams do you currently use?
