Orobar 24K Gold Beauty Gadget Review
Y’all, when I recently heard about Orobar, a 24k gold beauty gadget that’s designed to “contour, lift & defy,” my beauty gadget collectin’, anti-aging-obsessed, bling-lovin’ heart almost jumped out of my chest – gold people, GOLD!!!
Ok, let’s take a sec to talk about this coveted precious metal and its importance to our pretty lil’ mugs.
Gold has been used in ancient civilizations for its many beautifying properties for the skin. Gold can activate the basal cells of the skin which helps reduce the elasticity of the skin and fight wrinkles, fine lines, and blemishes.
A quick note: It’s just the head of this gadget that’s plated in 24k gold.
So, what is this thing? It’s basically a vibrator… for your face! It has microcurrent vibrations that send stimulating energy at 6000 beats per minute directly into the skin. It can help remove eye and cheek puffiness with the help of blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. It’s recommended that you use Orobar on clean skin with facial moisturizer or serum for easy gliding, working away from the center of the face… yep, this vibrator requires lube, too. 😉
Pros: GOLD, betches! I also like that it’s compact, waterproof, and it provides a gentle and relaxing massage.
Cons: It’s a bit pricy ($170) but not out of the normal range for beauty gadgets. It does require a AA battery which is not included – not a big deal. I’d love it if it were rechargeable with an AC adapter to make it more eco-friendly. Although Orobar is a gorgeous piece of equipment, its on/off indicator is a cheap clear sticker which sort of takes its luxey factor down a teensy bit.
Verdict: I’ve been using this gadget for a couple weeks now, and although I haven’t noticed a visible difference in my skin – yet (bare in mind, I take damn good care of my skin), I will have to say that I look forward to my mini facial massage every single night. It’s such a treat!
This product hasn’t officially launched, so it’s not available for purchase yet (stay tuned).
