BuddhiBox February 2016 Review + Coupon Code
WOOT, it’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s love-filled goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with an inspirational quote on the back, a recipe for vegan Strawberry Chocolate Mousse (yummers!!), and an instructional card for Eka Pada Rajakapotsana a.k.a.One-Legged King Pigeon Pose (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!
February’s BuddhiBox included:
Quinntessentials Heart of Gold Anointing Oil,* $30 – Even though I have a cold right now (waaaah!) and I sound like Steve Urkel and and can’t breathe, the GORG scent of this aromatherapy blend/anointing oil (perfume?) is pokin’ through, and it’s heavenly – sexy, earthy, and floral. It definitely captures a “heart of gold” vibe. It’s made with lavender, geranium, cedarwood, clary sage, petitgrain, and ylang ylang essential oils in a jojoba base, and it comes in a convenient rollerball tube.
Pandora’s Pops Aphrodisiac Hot Yoga Lollipop, $8 – What a cutely packaged lovey-dovey treat! Needless to say, right after snapping pics, it went straight into mah mouth. This is not just an ordinary heart-shaped lollipop, y’all! It’s made with a special blend of herbs and essential oils designed to “spark relationships and enhance romance” and “support the desire and reproductive response of men and women.” Ha, it sounds like a sneaky love potion in candy form – I friggin’ love it! It’s organic, vegan, handcrafted and flavored with divine pineapple and coconut, to boot. It sort of has a sweet rustic-y flavor. It’s hard to explain but I definitely dig it!
Hot Chakras Clothing “You are Beautiful” Bracelet,* $20 – I’m ALL about dainty, boho-chic jewelry. If you peep all the items I’ve faved on etsy, everything’s dainty AF. When I first saw this in my Buddhibox, I literally squealed! I mean look at those beautiful red and gold glass beads! It’s intended to be a daily reminder that “you are beautiful” – how sweet is that? My only concern is that it might fall of while I’m wearing it because you secure it by tying a nylon cord. It’s got a wish bracelet vibe, ya know, the kind that are meant to fall off. Please, of pretty please, stay on my wrist, you pretty thang (so far, so good)!
Kapha Dosha Apple Cran Awakening Bar, $4 – Lol, I ate the candy right off the bat, but Imma save this energy bar for brekkies – does that mean I have some amount of will power? Hm, prolly not. Anyhoo, this Dosha bar is intended to balance and heal the mind, body, and spirit by harnessing the power of Ayurveda (ancient Indian healing system). OK, I would like to take a moment to express my über fondness for products like these that are designed for self betterment (BuddhiBox, I seriously LOVE you). These non-GMO bars are made with super clean ingredients, too – just organic seeds and fruit… oh snap, and honey! Just noticed this while checking the ingredients at my computer. That’s totally OK. I’ll pass this on to a friend who I know will appreciate it. I’m definitely interested in the brand now and am hoping they have honey-free bars as well. *Update – Although this bar isn’t 100% vegan, their Vata and Pitta bars are! Looking forward to trying those out.
Marley Coffee Lively Up! Ground Espresso, $10 – This was was totally a bonus item, and it’s actually a product I received and enjoyed in a previous Buddhibox, so I’m beyond stoked. My hubby’s a HUGE coffee drinker, and while I only drink it on occasion, I sure love using coffee grounds for DIY beauty products. 🙂
Hurraw! Vata Lip Balm, $4 – Eeps, I couldn’t find this anywhere in my box, but I’m a gigantor fan of Hurraw lip balms, especially their tinted cherry and dosha ones (currebtly rockin’ Kapha in my bathroom). These vegan & raw (nutrient-dense) lip balms go on incredibly smooth and they all smell amazing. This one is infused with ashwanganda root and scented with almond, Guatemalan cardamom, and Turkish rose.
Btw, since this box was sent to me for review, I didn’t feel right about emailing BB about the missing item… but I will say that Maxine, the founder of BB is so incredibly sweet and understanding, and her customer service is stellar. There’s no doubt in my mind she would have gone above and beyond to replace it. So, just in case you’re ever missing an item in BB or any box, don’t freak. Just kindly drop the company a line, and I guarantee you’ll be impressed by the response you get. Sorry, [necessary] tangent.

Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $76 worth of goodies, woweeeee!! I’m beyond smitten with the minimalist, boho-chic bracelet and the all-natural perfume oil. I ate the aphrodisiac lollipop upon arrival (YUM) – ha, should have saved it for a sexy date night, but my weakness for sugar is out of control.
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on. Btw, use can use coupon code yogadaily to get 10% off a subscription. Also, BuddhiBox is running an Indiegogo fundraiser right now where you can score all kinds of amazing deals – you can check that out here!
What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?
Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
