Kimberly Parry Organics Facial Mist & Cleansing Oil Review
I first became acquainted with Kimberly Parry Organics when I received their delicious Sweet Orange & Cranberry Scrub in Yuzen’s Winter 2015 subscription box. It smelled SO frickin’ good, y’all! I basically wanted to eat it (I may have licked it, calm down). And not only did it please my nose holes (and potentially my taste buds), it made my skin feel crazy soft, as scrubs typically do. Naturally, this piqued my interest in the brand as a whole.
I’ve been trying out a couple new-to-me products from this line and wanted to give you full deets and first impressions.
First up, is their Cleansing Oil. It’ $52, yikes, but it is made with organic oils, which I love. I’ve tried a bunch of cleansing oils (have made my own as well), and they always vary slightly in consistency and slickness. I really like how this one is lightweight and easy to apply (that’s jojoba workin’ its magic). It has a really pleasant and subtly sweet, herby, fruity scent, and my skin has been loving this cleanser so incredibly much – it’s so überly-wüberly soft.
Btw, if you’re new to cleansing oils, peep this post here. It’ll explain the benefits of using oil to cleanse the skin – I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the sh*t!! In short: oil attracts oil, so you’re cleansing your pores (and removin’ makeup like it ain’t no thang) without drying out your skin. Also, it’s great for combatting acne because it rebalances sebum production so your skin can finally chill the F out.
Ingredients:
jojoba oil*, olive oil*, rosemary oil*, sweet orange peel oil*, clary sage oil*. *certified organic
Up next, is Hydrate. $48 – Hydrate is a calming skin balancer that doubles as a mineral makeup setter. It’s ideal for dry or mature skin… and I just happen to fit in both of those categories. 😉 According to their website, it’s designed to improve skin elasticity and tone, exfoliate, and helps prevent and treat scars. I can’t tell if it does any of that at this stage but I quite like it as a refreshing toner with a pleasant, calming neroli & fig scent.
Ingredients: Citrus aurantium (neroli) distillate, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice*, glycerin*, ficus carica (fig) extract*
Final notes/breakdown:
- Their glass bottles and packaging are definitely on-fleek.
- Items are $pensy, but I’m diggin’ the organic ingredients
- The Cleansing Oil is especially bomb, and I’ll be using it until the very lost drop.
Have you tried Kimberly Parry Organics? Who else uses the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM), and what are your thoughts on that?
*Samples were provided for consideration. Opinions are my own.
