Goddess Provisions June 2016 Subscription Box Review
Have y’all checked out Goddess Provisions, a vegan subscription box founded by the peeps at Vegan Cuts? It especially speaks to my heart because it’s curated “to have beautiful tools for nourishing your divine feminine and growing your spiritual practice”… I’ve been all about mystical, mindful, and spiritual enhancing goodies lately, so this box is everything!
Goddess Provisions delivers a mix of 4-6 full size items in each box, ranging from aromatherapy, apothecary beauty products, superfood snacks, teas, crystals, books and more – vegan & cruelty-free, of course. You can check out all of my previous Goddess Provisions box reviews here.
Cost: $33 per month. You can save a little extra each month if you sign up to be billed every 3, 6 or 12 months instead of monthly. Peep their site to see all the payment options available. Shipping to U.S. is FREE. Canadian shipping is $10 and rest of world is $20.
June’s Goddess Provisions “Dream Time Ritual” box included 6 items:
Spirit Quartz from South Africa, $20+ – OK, just stahp. Seriously, how f*cking beautiful is the sparkly hunk of magic? This crystal eye candy is known to help harmonize and align yo’ ish. It’s recommended that you keep it by the entry to your sacred space, and since I spend the majority of my free time in my office, it happily lives on my worky-work desk. It brings me so much joy just looking at it. Nature is truly spectacular and mind-blowing.
Anima Mundi Herbals Dream Elixir and Tea blend, $14 each/$28 value – This month’s box theme is SO up my alley. I take sleep seriously, and having quality Zzzzzs (ha, maybe when my kids go to college!) is super important to me. This elixir and tea blend contain sleepy time herbs that are supposed to help enhance deep sleep and assist with dream recall, supposedly the keys to building up to lucid dreaming! This is over-my-head cool. I would definitely like to master lucid dreaming one day… can you imagine how trippy it must be to have any bit of control about what goes down in your dreams (mhm, Ryan Gosling, I’ll see ya when I rest my head on my pillow and the tea kicks in!). 😉 Lucid dreaming aside, the tea and elixir (which I use together, as recommended) is a luxe-tasting blend of florals, specifically rose. Both of these items are organic and biodynamic, soothing, and calming. Props for the apothecary-esque packaging, too – love it!
Essence of Vali Sleep Essential Oil Blend, $12 – I’ve received mini samples of this throughout the years in beauty boxes, but it’s such a treat to get to experience the full size. This is a beautiful blend of lavender, marjoram, cedarwood, and ylang ylang in a base of jojoba. I’ve been rolling this on my wrists before bedtime and deeply inhaling, and it’s soooooo incredibly relaxing. It definitely helps quell my hyperactive monkey mind.
The Ritual Store Moon Dust Detox Mask, $13 – Clay masks are my fave! They’re deeply cleansing, detoxifying, and they leave my skin feeling brand new. This particular one – Moon Dust Detox Mask – is made with organic herbs, essential oils and crushed crystals for metaphysical energy. Say what?! This is a first (for me, at least). Yep, this baby has crushed selenite, which is used for luck and protection – so unique, right!? Next time I use this mask, Imma set some intentions and let selenite do its thang while I degunk mah pores.
Bedrock and Bloom Smart Ash Teeth Whitener, $4 – Ooh, this keeps poppin’ up in subby boxes left and right. I love activated charcoal teeth whiteners – they really do work. The only downside is that they are so messy to use (def open up this container over the sink). You just dip your brush in the powder, scrub-a-dub dub, and swish with water. This is especially great if you have sensitive teeth and you don’t wanna deal with all the potent, peroxide-y pens and mouth trays that seem to be errwhere these days. This stuff is completely natural and healthy.
Overall impression: Goddess Provisions is probably one of my favorite subscription boxes ever. Each month GP has a fun theme, and they always come with a beautiful crystal and complementary goddessy ish – teas, mala beads, essential oil blends, etc. I adore every item in this month’s box and am especially gaga over the spirit quartz – wowee!! The total value of this box is $77+, which is CRAY!
