POPSUGAR Must Have Box June 2016 Review
POPSUGAR recently reached out to me to see if I’d review their POPSUGAR Must Have Box, and of course, the subscription box junkie in me said yes. It’s a monthly subscription box that has a mix of beauty, home-y stuff, accessories, jewelry, etc. I feel like I’ve been living under a rock, because I had no idea they even had a subby box – so exciting!
This month’s POPSUGAR Must Have box had a fun summer summer theme – woot! I don’t know if these boxes are always 100% vegan (will get confirmation), but this month’s box was totally animal-friendly! Let’s dive in!
Sisters of Los Angeles Bottle Opener, $12 – I’m diggin’ this simple, gold-colored, cute & quirky bottle opener. This lil’ bad boy will be greeting lots of kombuchies this summer. 🙂
Knock Knock Are You Ready (For Your Close Up?) Compact, $10 – I’ve actually been meaning to pick up a compact to throw in my purse (ha, mainly because I always have grub particles stuck in my toofeses after nomming out and about). This literally came at the perfect time. The text on and in the compact is a little cheesy, but I totes don’t mind.
Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes, $9 – This is probably my favorite item that Pacifica has come out with. I uses these almost daily, so I was stoked to receive these, especially because it’s a slightly different formula from the ones I currently use (these contain kale extract). These wipes really do control odor and they have a pleasant, subtle scent, too. They’re great for the gym, travel bags, or straight up lazy days (guilty), when bathing is just too much of a chore (I’m a mommy of 2 littles so it’s to be expected). 😉
ncLA Born on the 4th Nail Lacquer, $16 – This ncLA shade was made exclusively with POPSUGAR, and it’s super glittery and fun. I did a ncLA 4th of July mani a couple years back, but it looks like I’ll have to give it another whirl now that I’ve got this sparkly Independence Day themed polish.
Pressels Pretzel Chips, $1.29 – I’m so bad when it comes to food I receive in the mail. I always make sure to snap food pics first so I can nom them immediately. These were quite tasty, and I love how they’re low-fat and low-sodium (and vegan, of course). I’m also always game for anything spicy and sriracha is my bae. These were pretty tame in the spicy department but yummy all the same.
Wild & Wolf Ridley’s Games Room “Who Am I?”, $11 – This is an easy-to-play game in which you team up with friends to guess the celebrity based on clues. I will say, I tried playing this game with myself, lol, and it was waaaaaay too easy… or maybe I’m just a pop culture genius! 😉
Hat Attack Neutral Diamond-Printed Sarong, $58 – *gasp* How pretty is THIS!? It’s so light and soft , too. This is a versatile piece (42″x78″) and you can use it as a sarong, scarf, wrap skirt, maybe even a tablecloth?). The design is so elegant and summery.
Verdict: My first ever POPSUGAR Must Have Box was a smashing success! All the items were 100% vegan and all the goodies combined were worth $119 (box costs $39.95 per month, shipping included). LOVE the deodorant wipes; I already ate the pretzel chips; that nail polish… mhm!; cute compact and bottle opener and functional and perfect for summer, as is the gorgeous sarong! The card game is just so-so but only because I didn’t find it very challenging.
What do you think of June’s POPSUGAR Must Have Box?
