BuddhiBox Yoga Subscription Box September 2016 Review
It’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! This is one of my all-time fave monthly subby boxes, and September’s goodie haul was SO good! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $32.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with an inspirational message from Vie on the back, a recipe for Vie’s Morning Green Juice, and an instructional Yogicard card for the pose Matsyasana aka Fish Pose – love saving these cute lil’ extras!
September’s BuddhiBox included:
Buddha Charm Necklace by Gogh Jewelry Design*, $29 – I always get excited when jewelry pops up in subby boxes – yaaaaaay! This lil’ Buddha necklace is adorbs, and I will flaunt it proudly. Did you know that Buddha is a symbol of happiness, wealth, kindness, and joy? Rubbing his belly is supposed to bring all that abfab ish into yo’ life, so, hellz yeah to Buddha jewelry!
Aromatherapy Potion by Gypsy Soul Organics,* $20 – This Sister Wind blend is intended to “activate the senses, energize the body and awaken the spirit!” It’s made with eucalyptus and spearmint (which really open up the nasal passages, too) and rejuvenating sweet basil. I’m a fan of all things minty, so this spray is definitely a winner.
BuddhiBox Yoga Strap,* $10 – It makes my heart happy to see Buddhibox branded yoga gear. I adore this company, and seeing them grow makes me feel warm and gushy inside. This is a durable strap, perfect for yoga beginners (like moi) and those who need a lil’ strappy assistance for hard to reach poses, and I loooove that it says “Get your buddhi on the mat” under the logo – lol!!
Bookmark and Decal by My Everyday Mantra, $5 – I appreciate uplifting and simple reminders that life is a journey. This mantra is especially what I need because I have the hardest time taking a moment to breathe, being in the moment, and exhaling all the sh*t I need to let go. The design and artwork is by Ann Arbor based artist Veronica Levin. Imma keep this on my desk, so that I don’t forget to breathe, focus, and let go.
Ayurveda Incense by Auromere, $5 – I’ve been a fan of this brand for years (their soap is especially divine), and this incense (Kasturi) smells gorgeous – it has a floral and musk-like scent. The smoke is traditionally used as therapy for depression, which I found super interesting.
Coconut Hair Mask by St. Tropica, $5 – Coconut hair masks are amaaaaaazing. Unfortunately, I gotta look out for my pinky strands as they’re very particular and require color-safe hair products. I’ll probably be passing this item along to a friend, but I love that it’s made with hair superfoods like biotin, green tea, hibiscus, amla, and horsetail.
Bonus – Meditation and Sweat Cosmetics Towelette, $10 – The info card says this is valued at $10 but I’m thinking maybe that’s a typo. I use towelettes daily… to remove makeup, cleanse or refresh my body, clean toddler hands, etc. I think it’s super cool and unique that this towelette include a meditation, too.
Also included was a card for a free 10 minute guided meditation from Four Feathers. I’m definitely going to use this!
* = BuddhiBox faves
Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $74 worth of goodies, woweeeee!! This box was a winner, and I’m especially excited about the Buddha necklace, minty aromatherapy spray, and yoga strap.
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.
What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?
Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
