September’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included:
Melanie Mills Hollywood Lip Radiance in “Unstoppable”,* $24 – This sheer & shiny red gloss is made with nourishing natural ingredients including vitamin E, jojoba oil and aloe vera. It’s long wearing, moisturizing, and it has a comfortable feel on the lips – not too sticky or tacky. Bonus – it smells like marshmallows!
Page Ashbury Facial Moisturizer, $7.50 – Ahh, this is a nice, thick moisturizer – feels like it definitely has some oomph to it (I can’t stand watery, milky moisturizers that just kind of slide around). Ooh, and it smells SO good (props to neroli and jasmine). I kind of wish it didn’t contain Cetyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol (preservatives), though, only because I think they could possibly omit these.
Luxie Beauty Blending Brush,* $16 – Looooooove this brush! Having a high quality blending brush is everything. So many of my blending brushes and too big, too floofy, or too friggin’ small (it’s like the 3 lil’ bears up in here). This one is seriously juuuuuust right.
William Roam Shampoo + Conditioner Duo, $14 – These are really generously sized samples. You know me and hair products, though. I try to stick to color-safe formulas for my pinky strands and I heavily rely on dry shampoos in between washes. This duo does sound interesting and I like that they’re made with antioxidant & vitamin-rich ingredients like Maine Blueberries, Kansas Wheatgrass and Napa Valley Red Wine Grape extracts. The fruitiness of these blends really comes through, too.
SK Pure Essentials Body Scrub, $4.50 – I almost always use body scrubs as hand scrubs (only because I hate cleaning the oily residue from my tub, lol). The scent of this scrub is more on the subtle side but it does smell pretty – feminine and refreshing. It’s made with organic sugar, safflower oil, rice bran oil, evening primrose oil, moringa oil, baobab oil, and essential oils. I’m actually really impressed with their selection of anti-aging oils.

Overall impression: Everything together is valued at $66, which is pretty awesome! It was a lovely mix of skin care, makeup, and hair care. Box faves: Gleam lip gloss (I’m a sucker for lippies and I love the all-natural formula) and the Luxie blending brush because really good blending brushes are hard to come by and this one is fantastic! Overall, September’s VCBB box was a hit!
