Charlie Butler Launches Kickstarter for Stylishly Durable Vegan Shoes
I get so excited discovering new vegan-friendly shoe companies, especially when their footwear is 100% cruelty-free and good lookin’. One such company is Australia-based Charlie Butler, and they’ve just launched an awesome kickstarter for their über cool, comfortable, and vegan line of unisex shoes!
Charlie Butler founder Faran Saberi created this collection of shoes that are high quality, hella durable, ethically made, and super duper comfortable for all terrains and activities.
“I wanted to make sure we had a great looking shoe that lasts,” comments Faran. ” Charlie Butlers are super comfortable right away because we’ve tested them rigorously. We’ve worn them in the Outback, Indonesian jungle and played soccer in them. They stand up to everything.”
Simply said, they are a cruelty-free shoe startup that was tired of low quality and uncomfortable non-leather shoes. They want to recreate the vegan shoe from scratch, with materials that are light and comfortable.
All of their shoes are actually handmade in Indonesia, and Charlie Butler is proud to play a role in job creation in the burgeoning country and help keep their craft of shoemaking very much alive.
Charlie Butler wants to be worn by both vegans and non-vegans. The biggest contribution to preventing animal cruelty is to make great looking shoes for ordinary people who would otherwise buy leather. “We’ve tried to make a shoe so good that non-vegan people will purchase it instead of leather.”
