Veestro Organic & Vegan Food Review + Coupon Code + Giveaway
If you’re thinking about going veg (or generally eating healthier) in 2017, you might want to check out Veestro. It’s a vegan, organic, and non-GMO meal delivery service that allows you to customize meal plans (they offer a la carte items and juice cleanses as well) and they have options for those with special diets/allergies (e.g. soy-free, nut-free, gluten-free).
I first discovered Veestro when my mother-in-law gifted me a week’s worth of their tasty noms after I gave birth to my second son. You guys, if you have any expectant mama friends, convenient and delicious FOOD is the best way to make their lives easier in the first few weeks post-birth. 😉 Trust me.
Anyhoo, I recently got to give them another whirl and sample some of their holiday meals and was pretty blown away – seriously some of the dishes tasted like they were straight out of a restaurant’s kitchen. I’ve tried a couple other vegan meal delivery services in the past, and while they were all tasty, Veestro meals taste fresher and seem to be more thoughtfully prepared. I was especially impressed with their holiday selection. It was legit, y’all!
The Veestro dishes I got to try:
Herb Crusted Turk’y Dinner – This was my fave of the bunch. I’m not even joking when I say it rivaled the T-Giving meal I made for my family this year (er, guess it was last year, lol, seems like yesterday!). This was SO good, I almost didn’t wanna share it with my hubby, lol!
Cran-Apple Stuffed Holiday Loaf Dinner – I actually combined this and the Turk’y meal to make a truly magnificent holiday plate. It was fresh-tasting, colorful, and crazy-good.
Golden Chickpea Stew – This dish was kind of meh for me, but I think it’s because I ate this after having tried the holiday meals above, so the bar had been set pretty high. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, it just wasn’t wow (and I did have to add a bit of salt).
Enchilada Casserole – I love enchiladas (like you have NO idea) and I love tofu, and they pretty much nailed this dish. It was SO flavorful, the sauce was perfection, and I totally wanted seconds after.
Red Curry with Tofu and Veggies – This tasted very much like the Thai red curries I order at restaurants, and again, it tasted really fresh. It was a nice sized portion too, and I love that it came with brown rice instead of white.
Johnny Appledeed Juice – If you’re not used to drinking freshly squeezed/pressed juices, this might strike you as gritty and not that sweet. Luckily, I’ve got many a juice cleanse under my belt, so I knew what to expect. This juice tasted hella healthy, and I’m so stoked it was organic because non-organic apples have a higher percentage of pesticides than most other fruits.
Veestro delivers anywhere in the continental United States and they have really affordable meal plans including their starter pack which includes 12 meals and a juice for $99 (with free shipping).
I also want to give y’all a heads up that code VBR20 saves you 20% off any order until Jan. 31, 2017. WHAT?! Lol, that’s ridiculously sweet!
And if that deal wasn’t already all that and a bag of organic chips, here’s your chance to win a $100 Veestro gift card (open to U.S. residents).
Enter away, spread the word, and good luck to everyone!! xoxo
