Banish Starter Kit for Acne Scars Review
Microneedling is a huge craze these days, and as scary as it might seem at a glance, it totally works! Basically, it involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles to create little “wounds” on your skin that your body is then eager to heal. It can help help lots of skin conditions including acne, textured skin, and scarring. I recently got a Banish Starter Kit in the mail which came with vegan and cruelty-free microneedling goodies, a face wash, serum, spray, and a couple face masks, and I’ve been diggin’ it all.
I don’t have any acne scars, but I have been using this system to tighten up the skin on my face (ha, ain’t no spring chicken!). Even though the needles in this kit are a bit small for heftier scarring, I’ve been using them on my post-baby belly stretch marks as well and have noticed a slight difference – microneedling is kind of like magic. 🙂 Please forgive me, but I’m not quite ready to show you pics of my bare belly yet (results are so slight at this time).
The Starter Kit Comes Loaded With:
- The Starter Cleanser – It doesn’t foam or dry out the skin and it’s made with chamomile, lavender, and rose waters infused with green tea extract.
- Banish Vitamin C, E & Ferulic Acid Serum – Use this oil daily and right after the banisher to reduce the look of dark marks, uneven texture, fine lines, and sagging skin. This is the rockstar product of the bunch imo. It’s potent and a little goes a long way. This is the magic stuff that is going to help promote natural collagen production so don’t skip this step!
- Vitamin C Beauty Elixir – This contains aloe to help reduce redness and inflammation as well as tea tree oil which is antibacterial. You can spray on after the Banish serum or use by itself daily.
- Medium Banisher – This helps the Banish oil/serum absorb into the skin (which is key!), but don’t use banishers on active zits.
- Pen Banisher – Both of these Banishers may be used once a week.
- Pumpkin Enzyme Masque – Always use masks before the Banisher. This tingly exfoliator smells incredible (pumpkin, duh), and it helps slough off dead skin cells.
- Activated Charcoal Clay Masque – This mask absorbs and draws out dirt, oil, and any other unwanted gunk in your pores. You can use this 1-2 times a week to deep clean your skin and reduce the appearance of large pores. It’s especially great for oily and acne prone skin.
- Pore Smasher – Put this bad boy in the freezer until it’s nice and cold and us it before the Banisher to numb the skin.
