October’s beauty box had 5 items and had a total value of $61!
October’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included:
The Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir,* $15 – Ooh, this stuff smells really pretty, like they stuffed a bajillion roses in the bottle. It’s made with over 15 organic oils and it’s intended to add shine and tame frizzies. I’m always on the lookout for frizz control, so imma rock this next time I wash mah hurr (in about a week, haha).
Vedic Botanicals Ayurvedic Skin Cream, $15 – This looks and feels (applies) very much like coconut oil, which is indeed what it’s made out of, as well as shea butter, sunflower wax, calendula hydrosol, and Ayurvedic herbs. It’s unscented and intended to deeply hydrate the skin.
Z Skin Cosmetics Mineral Mascara, $19 – I appreciate the concept of all-natural mineral mascara, and I’ve tried some pretty great ones, but this one didn’t really do it for me. It’s pretty liquidy and doesn’t coat the lashes with any sort of pigment (in this case, activated charcoal). The brush is also teeny tiny. Again, mad props for the attempt at super clean mascara, but this one, unfortunately, fell short.
Moon Rivers Naturals Coconut Milk Face Wash,* $9 – This gentle coconutty wash wash is right up my alley. It’s all-natural, loaded with essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, and it cleanses the skin without drying. It has a light, delicate scent and offers a modest lather. I could see myself purchasing a full-size bottle of this stuff.
Simply Wicked Matcha Green Tea Face Mask, $3 – This face mask only has two ingredients: matcha and bentonite clay. I appreciate the simplicity and am a fan of those ingredients on their own, so I know they’re bomb together. You just add a bit of water, apply, let sit for 10 mins, and wash off – easy-peasy. It’s intended to draw out gunk and impurities, and it’s loaded with antioxidants to boot.

Overall impression: Everything together is valued at $61, which is pretty rad! I also really like the mix of skin care, hair care, and makeup this month. Box faves: The Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir and
Moon Rivers Naturals Coconut Milk Face Wash. The only item I don’t think I’ll be using is the mineral mascara from Z Skin Cosmetics – it just wasn’t very mascara-y, to be honest.
