Daily Harvest, Frozen Meal Service Review
I’m a mompreneur—I run VBR and I’ve got two little rugrats. There are legit never enough hours in the day to get ish done (I know, I know, I have the same number of hours in a day as Beyonce, but still!). I’m lucky if I get to squeeze a shower in, haha. 😉 And when it comes to food, I pretty make the same meals everyday (typically corn on the cob and potatoes with hummus, haha) out of convenience and familiarity. That’s why I’m grateful for food delivery services like Daily Harvest that simplify my life in a healthy, delish, time-saving way. PRAISE.
Daily Harvest is a subscription service that delivers yummy, frozen, healthy, organic, non-GMO, antioxidant-rich foods ranging from smoothies to superfood bowls, soups and beyond (parfaits, lattes, etc.). You gettin’ hungry yet? I am! You can subscribe on a weekly or monthly basis and choose between 6, 9, 12, or 24 cups at a time. The cups range from $6.99-$7.99, which is a hella good deal considering you can fill up on one of these.
Everything I’ve tried from Daily Harvest has been flavor-rich and uniquely prepared. They incorporate ingredients that beautifully complement each other in a not-so-obvious ways, too. Garbanzo beans in overnight oats? They did it and it’s BOMB. Dragon fruit and lychee in a smoothie? The done did that, too, and it’s a dreamy tropical delight!
Now let’s talk convenience a.k.a. laze-friendly factor. These meals come frozen in cups, and you can generally just heat them up or add a bit of almond milk, H2O, coconut water, what have you, soak or blendy-blend and then BOOM. Easy-peasy and tasty af. 🙂
Enought yappin’ (what’s the online digital version of that?), feast your eyes on the goods (pun intended):
The Activated Breakfast Overnight Oats with Cinnamon Protein + Banana – It’s sweetened with maple syrup (YAAS, Sunny fuel), spiced with cinnamon, and boosted with chickpeas and pea protein. It’s hearty, healthy, and desserty all at once, and I love getting filled up on protein. It satiates my big ol’ man-sized appetite and gives my tummy all the feels.
Dragon Fruit + Lychee Smoothie – For a die-hard smoothie gal, this smoothie delivers. It’s sweet, jam-packed with antioxidants, and yum to the yumth degree. If you’re a tropical goddess at heart, you’re gonna swoon over the combo of lychee, bright pink dragon fruit, red beets, and strawberries.
Butternut Squash + Chimichurri Harvest Bowl – Chimichurri is an Argentinian parsley-based sauce, and here it is mixed with butternut squash, shiitake and crimini mushrooms, and buckwheat. It’s uber flavorful (and colorful), filling, and chock full of nutrients. I could seriously eat this every damn day.
If you guys wanna try Daily Harvest—which you totally should, it’s amaaahzing—I have an affiliate link that you can use to get three free cups in your first box (for new customers). You can also use coupon code: RE-RGDD5ER
