Covergirl Is Officially Cruelty-Free (Leaping Bunny Certified)
You guys, HUGE news in the world of cruelty-free cosmetics. Drugstore beauty icon Covergirl (owned by Coty) has announced that they’re officially Leaping Bunny certified by Cruelty Free International! This means that none of their products or ingredients (including those from its suppliers) will be tested on animals. This is a first for such a large, mainstream beauty brand. I believe this indicates that the tide is definitely changing and that other big beauty brands will soon follow suit. Animal testing is literally so archaic and unnecessary… it’s about damn time, right!?
Get ready to start seeing the Leaping Bunny logo on all Covergirl products. Love seeing that lil’ logo, because it ensures that the products you’re buying are indeed cruelty-free. Note – not all cruelty-free products are vegan. 😉 To clear up any of that confusion, you can read more about that here.
