Kat von D Dazzle Sticks First Impressions
Back in the 2010s, I remember walking into a Sephora and falling in love with the perfect shade of red lippie, it was Kat von D Beauty, and I had put it back after swatching (and swooning) because I just assumed the formula wasn’t vegan – and I think at the time, it actually wasn’t. Fast forward to now (2016 and on), Kat von D Beauty’s entire line is now vegan and cruelty-free! Very exciting! Her line is always fun and exciting as well as high performance, and not having to read labels for vegan ingredients is definitely a plus.
Kat von D Beauty recently launched a collection of Dazzle Vegan Eyeshadow Sticks, and they are mesmerizing. I’m an uber glitter fiend, so sparkles automatically make my heart pitter patter. These Dazzle Sticks are loaded with flecks of multidimensional, prismatic pearls, and they’re rich and pigment-packed. They also stay put and last all day – I was super impressed! Glittery makeup can sometimes be a fallout nightmare, but these shadows have a unique water-based formula, and as the water evaporates, it dries down to a smooth finish.

Hail Surge and Flash Storm have become my faves, because they complement my skin tone best, but mixing all the shades together (like in my selfie) makes for lovely lids as well. I just use my fingers to blend but you could use a brush for more precision. I love how easy these are to apply and they’re very forgiving if you’re a bit sloppy like I am.
