October 2015 Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box Review
Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! October’s PV beauty box is definitely up there as one of my faves. It feels as though it was curated just for me. 😉 If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands (I don’t know of any other beauty boxes with such high standards – LOVE!). This goodie box is only $15 a month (HELLA good deal, especially considering this month’s box is valued at $43!) and includes free shipping in the U.S. ($23 for Canada). Pretty sweet, right?
Before I dive in to this month’s PV box, can I just take a moment to talk about how insanely cute and frame-worthy their info cards are? They’re the best – I keep them ALL! This one was designed by Mia Charro (@MiaCharro).
October’s Petit Vour Beauty Box included the following non-toxic, squeaky clean, cruelty-free goodies:
HABIT Nail Polish in Deep Sea (full size, $18) – Nothing says fall like dark, moody nails. This deep, almost-black, inky blue looks gorgeous and I am absolutely nuts over the packaging (bamboo maybe?)! FYI, the value of this bottle of nail polish is worth more the the entire PV box! That always gives me warm, gushy vibes. I have to admit, I was a teeeensy bit jealous of the peeps that got the gold HABIT shade in their PV box but the element of surprise is what makes these boxes extra fun. Btw, this non-toxic polish features myrrh extract which helps strengthen nails – how cool and unique is that?
Hana Organic Skincare Eye Oil, $18 – I swear by beauty oils. I slather them on my face every night before bed. This organic eye oil is made with a gentle and soothing blend of jojoba, rosehip seed oil, Vitamin E, and rose essential oil. It smells lovely, it absorbs quickly, and a little bit goes a long way -gently pat one or two drops of oil around the outer eye area and you’re good to go.
Ursa Major Face Wash, $6 – This foaming gel cleanser smells and feel bomb on my skin. Check it – it’s got cedar, spearmint, lime, lemon, rosemary, black spruce, owyhee, vetiver, and lavender essential oils – a dream blend! Bonus: leave it on your skin for 30-60 seconds for an extra hit of exfoliation.
Essence of Vali Sleep A Bedtime Ritual sample – I like seeing this Sleep vial pop up in subscription boxes from time-to-time. I’ve been using all sorts of sleepy time potions lately and they all do an excellent job at helping calm my monkey mind and allowing me to drift off into Ryan Gosling dream land. 😉 You just dab a teensy bit of oil on the corner of your pillowcase and let the power of lavender, marjoram, cedarwood, and ylang-ylang essential oils do their thang.
Overall impression: This is one of my fave PV boxes! I’m seriously stoked about every single item. I plan on rockin’ my HABIT nail polish for next week’s Mani Monday (stay tuned!), and the face wash, eye oil, and sleep EO blend have become part of my nightly routine. These are all brands I would purchase from again.
