Nails of the Day: 1143 H2O’s ‘Beauty Queen’ (Non-Toxic & Vegan)
Happy Vegan & Cruelty-Free Manicure Monday!
This week I’m rockin’ 2 coats of 1143 H2O’s “Beauty Queen,” a creamy, pale, dusty lavender-pink. It’s an incredibly romantic shade, and it makes me yearn for spring.
Last year I became smitten with 1143 H2O Nail Polish, a breathable, healthy, water-based nail polish line that literally has no smell (even 3-5-7-free “non-toxic” polishes have a STANK chemical smell). These polishes are also completely vegan and cruelty-free – WOOTY WOOT! ? And because they’re truly non-toxic, they’re mega safe for preggo mamas & tiny tots.
1143 H2O polishes also completely peel off so no need to use nail polish remover (just soak nails in warm water, loosen the polish near your cuticle with your fingernail and peel the polish off in one piece). Peeling off polish gives me warm, gushy, fuzzy feelings because it takes me back to my childhood when I was obsessed with pink peel-off Tinkerbell polish. Obsessed. Also, for best results, skip the base but follow up with a top coat once fully dry. Heads up: Nails will be a bit prone to minor dents and dings, so be on paw patrol. It’s a fair trade-off for having 100% non-toxic nail polish, though, IMHO.
What do you guys think of this all-natural, feminine & floral mani? Also, have you used water-based nail polishes before and how did you like them? xoxo
