Petit Vour January 2016 Review
Happy Petit Vour Unboxing Day! January’s PV beauty box has a “do good, be well” new year theme, and the items, as always are squeaky clean and non-toxic which I absolutely LOVE! If you’re new to Petit Vour, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes loaded with samples (including full-sized ones) from fancy, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic brands. January’s Petit Vour Beauty Box included the following cruelty-free goodies:
S.W. Basics Mini Cream, $12 – S.W. Basics is all about minimal and simple, nature-derived ingredients in their skincare! This cream only has 3 ingredients: shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil. That’s it! It’s extremely rich and perfect for thirsty winter skin – amen!
French Girl Organics Rose Lip Polish,* $3.75 – This is one of the swankiest lip scrubs I’ve ever polished my smackers with. Whether your buffing off the dry crusties or getting rid of pesky matte liquid lipstick residue (Y’all try this for that? It’s ace!), this slightly tingly mint + rose scrub is divine.
Kaia Naturals Bamboo Tapioca Beads Daily Powdered Face Cleanser, $5 – I feel like I’ve reviewed this powder cleanser a few times on VBR. I love how versatile it is – it’s a cleanser, exfoliator and/or mask, and you can mix the powder with water, oil, yogurt, favorite cleanser, whatever! It’s super travel-friendly and I love that the ingredients are pure and simple: Kaolin, Manihot Esculenta (tapioca) Root Starch, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cicer Arietinum Seed Powder, Bambusa Arundicacea Stem, Calcium Silicate, Citrus Tangerine, Citrus Grandis, Citrus Nobilis. Btw, this sample size is one week’s worth of cleanser!
Evelyn Iona Gel Liner and Brush Set,* $22 – This gel liner/brush combo is FABZ! It’s easy to use (goes on silky smooth) and contains top-notch, skin-nourishing ingredients like grape (which protects from the suns rays), castor oil (which improves the look of dark circles under the eye), oregano (antioxidant) and Vitamin E (natural moisturizer). Best part – it doesn’t smudge or budge… at all (use coconut or jojoba oil to remove)! And let’s talk about this gorgeous bamboo liner brush! It’s perfectly pointed for cat eye, which y’all know I’m all about! Expect a IG selfie this week or next featuring this bad boy. 😉

Overall impression: This month’s box has some interesting new-to-me beauty products. My faves are the gel liner/brush combo and fancy rose lip polish. Again, $48 worth of non-toxic vegan beauty product for $15 is pretty redonk – amazing value and super fun discoveries!
