BuddhiBox March 2016 Review
WOOT, it’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $32.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with an inspirational Goethe quote on the back, a recipe for Raw Vegan Zucchini Pasta with Basil Pest (yummers!!), an instructional card for Ardha Chandrasana a.k.a. Half Moon Pose (love saving these!), and a card for a month of free yoga, meditation, and body sculpt ($20 value) from yogaforyouonline.com… so many wonderful lil’ extras!
March’s BuddhiBox included:
Iron Horse Creations Wrap Bracelet, $12 – This simple, sea breeze blue, yogi-style wanderlust om wrap bracelet is light and fun. I’m actually wearing this right now as a choker, and I’m feelin’ all cute and spiritual. 😉
Mind Over Lather Mat Spray in Lemongrass,* $10 – I have a confession. This contains very similar ingredients to a DIY bug spray that I’ve recently made (water, witch hazel, eucalyptus, and tea tree essential oil), so I’ve been using this as an ant deterrent, too. I love the size of this bad boy and its spray nozzle, and I’m super grateful for it’s multi-functionality.
Soulful Essence Therapeutic Oil Blend in “Meditation Station,”* $20 – Ooh, check out this scent description: “Grounding and introspective with hits of earth and wood. Juniper and frankincense work together to relieve tension, fortify the spirit and drive out negative thoughts and emotions.” It truly does smell earthy, woodsy and grounding. I feel like this would double up a lovely beard oil, too (seriously wouldn’t mind my hubby’s beardy fluff smelling that this sexy ish). Do you see how I’m all about using all these products for basically everything? 😉
Bear’s Beauty Natural Deodorant, $12.00 – I exclusively use all-natural deodorant, and since I’m a sweaty, stank-nasty beast, deodoro is constantly in demand at VBR Headquarters/ Camp Cuddlebear. This deodorant has a super subtle scent (my sniffer can’t really pick it up), and the ingredients are pure as can be like shea butter, coconut oil, clay, and essential oils. Gotta love that this baby is in stick form… so many vegan deodorants come in pots or tiny jars where you have to scoop out product with your finger (which I don’t entirely mind, but I know a lot of vegan who aren’t fans).
Kiss Me Honey Lip Balm, $4.99 – Eeps, this lip balm isn’t vegan (which BuddhiBox fully discloses), so I didn’t even open it. Imma gift it to one of my non-vegan gal pals… cute name and packaging, though.
* = BuddhiBox faves
Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $81 worth of goodies, woweeeee!! My faves of the bunch are the sexy scented aromatherapy oil and yoga mat spray – both items that I accidentally discovered have multi uses. Only one item in the box wasn’t vegan, the lip balm (*sad face*), but it’ll eventually find a good home.
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.
What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?
Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
