BuddhiBox Yoga Subscription Box July 2016 Review
It’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! This is one of my all-time fave monthly subby boxes, and July’s goodie haul was SO good! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $32.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBoxreviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with an inspirational quote by T. Krishnamacharya on the back, a recipe for Summer Pitaya Bowl, and an instructional Yogicard card for the pose Virabhadrasana II aka Warrior II Pose – love saving these cute lil’ extras!
July’s BuddhiBox included:
The Kind Market Cozumel Tassel Bracelets,* $18 – This set of handmade tassel bracelets not only looks good but also promotes good. They support sustainability, education, and the empowerment of women in developing countries through KIND a.k.a. Kindness for International Need and Development. These bracelets are totally up my alley (they go so well with the mala bracelets I usually like to sport), and that hot pink tassel matches my hair, so love love love!
People Towels Towel Set with Eco Sack, $11 – I got a similar set of these in a previous BuddhiBox and adored them then as much as I do now. They’re an eco-friendly alternative to paper towels and they come in super duper cute organic cotton prints. I also like the little eco sack they come in as well.
Cuccio Somatology Yoga Essentials Kit, $12.95 – I’ve never seen a yoga beauty kit before – this is a brilliant idea! This 3-piece kit comes with balancing oil (it smells amazing but it has “parfum” in it, which is a bit vague for my liking), balancing lotion (also has a few suspect preservative-y sounding ingredients), and yoga mat sani spray cleanser (also contains “parfum”). I’m just a bit surprised to see yoga products that don’t have squeaky clean ingredients. They do smell really pretty, though.
Cuccio Power Flow Yoga DVD,* $19.95 – I’m REALLY excited about this DVD. I’ve been on a yoga kick lately, and I’m trying to find a yoga DVD that truly resonates with me. While I haven’t tried this one out yet, I love that it has both beginner and advanced options. It’s 50 minutes long, and the power flow sequence is led by celebrity yoga trainer Danielle Cuccio.
YUNI Beauty Instant Shower Sheets,* $12 – Shower sheets are popping up in almost every subby box, and thank goodness, because I’m a sweaty, smelly beast who needs a de-stankificatin’ wipe down! These are great for lazy, no-shower days or a post gym workout sesh. They’re plant-based, non-toxic, biodegradable, and compostable. They smell ah-MAZING, and they’re infused with peppermint and citrus oils + neem, which is a dreamy combo.
* = BuddhiBox faves
Overall impression: As always, this box has insane value – $74 worth of goodies, woweeeee!! This box was a winner, and I’m especially excited about the beaded tassel bracelets, yoga DVD, and YUNI shower sheets – they smell SO frickin’ good!
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.
What do you guys think of BuddhiBox?
Box was sent to me for consideration. Opinions are my own.
