How to Make Immune Boosting Vegan Golden Milk
I’m a firm believer in the healing powers of turmeric. I consume/use this ish daily, whether it’s in the form of face masks (fights free radicals and gives skin a natural glow), tofu scramble, veggie capsules (great for relieving menstrual cramps), matcha tea, and even milk (like the recipe below!). Turmeric is a yellow Indian spice that has incredible Ayurvedic healing properties. It’s anti-inflammatory, loaded with antioxidants, and it helps boost white blood cell count which is especially helpful during cold season.
Vegan Golden Milk
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of ginger powder
- pinch of finely ground black pepper
- pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- sweetener of choice to taste (maple syrup, agave, stevia, etc.)
Combine ingredients and heat in small sauce pan for 5ish minutes. Drink and enjoy!
What are some other ways to you like to incorporate turmeric into your diet and lifestyle? xx
