Matt & Nat Mitsuko Mini Vintage Handbag Review
Ladies and germs, meet mah new friend, Mitsuko (Mini). ♥ ♥ ♥ *moment of silence to soak in the beautitude* Ain’t she gorg?
Y’all, I can’t believe I haven’t written about Matt & Nat on VBR until now! M&N is a well-known vegan & cruelty-free handbag and wallet line, and everything they make is chic, sturdy, and absolutely swoon-worthy… seriously, WANT. IT. ALL.
MAT(T)erial and NATure is inspired by the simple motto “Live beautifully,” and from the start, Matt & Nat has been committed to not using leather or any other animal-based materials and they continue to explore new innovative ways to remain sustainable and eco-friendly. PU (polyurethane) is always preferred over PVC (polyvinylchloride) since it is less harmful for the environment, and all of their linings are always made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles. On average, that represents over 120,000 recycled bottles a year – I’ll drink to that! M&N also uses recycled nylon, cork, and rubber in their designs.
Peep the tag on this purse… it’ll make your heart swell up with warm, gooshy vibes.
Mitsuko Mini deets: It’s a medium-smallish, roomy, classic bowling bag that can be worn crossbody with an adjustable and removable strap. It has a top zipper closure, interior zipper pocket, phone pocket (bettah have that!), and it’s lined with 100% recycled nylon. For a “mini,” it sure does fit ALL my ish and then some – dipes, wipes, wallet, phone, snacks, kiddo toys, 5-7 lip balms, gum, 2 pairs of sunglasses, and more snacks (I’m basically a hobbit; I eat frequently throughout the day).
This purse is a nice neutral, earthy brown “Chili” shade (also comes in Black, Buff, Lilac, and Amazon), it goes with pretty much any outfit, and it feels really solid. I have a hunch this bag is going to last me for years before it gets too scuffy.
This bag retails for $115 ($110 on amazon.com with free Prime shipping), which to me, is a pretty good deal considering it’s been made with people/animal/earth-friendly materials. What do you guys think?
